What are you grateful for?
It is so easy to focus on what isn’t going well in our lives, but it can be pretty hard to remember to focus on what we are grateful for. Even when things may not be going as planned there is usually something we can find gratitude for in our lives.
By spending 3-5 minutes everyday to ponder over what we are grateful for we can completely change your outlook on life. When we focus on what we are grateful for and what is going good, we start to see things in a whole new light. Things that used to seem so serious or so hard to deal with may slowly start seem not so bad.
So how can you show gratitude?
- Pick a quiet place to sit down and clear your mind.
- Start to think of all the positive things happening in your life, big and small. Don’t allow negative thoughts to enter your mind.
- Write these “gratitudes” in a journal, share them with someone you love or even just ponder over them as you go along with your day.
Be prepared to feel a sense of peace and calm as you go about the rest of your day. Enjoy the continued benefits of doing this everyday.
